Twomey Lab statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

In our lab, we are committed to establishing an open and inclusive research and learning environment that is centered around diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. We recognize the harm and barriers perpetuated through systemic racism and bias, and pledge to building a lab that is enriched by a diversity of race, thought, and experiences. We do not bias or judge based on race, ethnicity, nationality or immigration status, culture, socioeconomic status, age, gender identity, sex, and disability, neither marital status, ability, nor pregnancy. We condemn all forms of discrimination, actively combat bias as well as inequality, and look to provide equitable access to higher education and research training. We celebrate and acknowledge that diversity in background, culture, and experiences enrich our community, and look forward to building this into our research program.
