Dr. Edward Twomey is an assistant professor in the department of biophysics and biophysical chemistry and the department of neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He attended Seton Hall University from 2009 to 2012, where he received his B.S. in biochemistry, with distinction. He began attending Columbia University for his Ph.D. in 2013, and joined the labs of Dr. Alexander Sobolevsky and Dr. Joachim Frank to pursue his thesis studies in 2014. Ed received his Ph.D., with distinction, in 2018. After this, he pursued postdoctoral studies with Dr. Tom Rapoport at Harvard Medical School. Following, Ed was appointed to an assistant professorship in the Department of Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
